Family!

Yesterday I finally responded to an inquiry through Ancestry.com. I was waiting to find my binder with my information on my ancestors, which had ended up behind some extra computer cords and such.

I find it amazing, by the way, just how many computer/monitor/accessory cords we've acquired through the years. Crazy. They're now all up in a box, out of the way.

Anyhow, I knew we had distant cousins in Canada, and as it turns out, Gordon is one of them. So I've been emailing back and forth with him, hopefully filling in a few gaps. Unfortunately, we're both lacking information on the person he originally inquired about (Raphael Cloberdanz). Rats.

I am happy, though, that Ancestry.com continues to forward such inquiries, even if your account with them is inactive. I've enjoyed the emails, and have only crashed Thunderbird three times (Hint: If the attachments make the email too big for the recipient, and you get that lovely mailer daemon notice, it's probably going to be a BAD idea to try to reopen the email in the sent folder, even if just to try to delete it. Bad, bad, bad. And don't try it again thinking that the first time was a fluke. It wasn't.).

Anyways! It's been very enjoyable corresponding with him - I hope at least some of the information is useful to him!

And now, I think I'm going to find something to entertain the kiddos, because Calla is LICKING MY ARM, and Patrick is climbing exercise equipment...
